2010 A to Z of netlabels series (02.08.2010)
Cast your mind back to mid-2009 and you may recall a series of Bleepshows showcasing a single netlabel per show, an hour of music from each label. There were 26 shows in total and it was an interesting excursion into some of the netlabels I previously only had little knowledge of.
It’s now 2010 and I want to do it all again, with a different set of netlabels, but following the A to Z format. This is your opportunity to influence the running order of shows in the coming weeks and months. I would like your ideas for labels to feature in the upcoming series. You can suggest any netlabel, active or otherwise, ideally with a back catalog immediately available for download.
I’ll use this as a placeholder while decisions are made:
- Bleepshow #474 = A = Archaic Horizon
- Bleepshow #475 = B = Bypass
- Bleepshow #476 = C = Crazy Language
- Bleepshow #477 = D = Dreiton
- Bleepshow #478 = E = Enough Records
- Bleepshow #479 = F = Fresh Poulp
- Bleepshow #480 = G = Gleichtakt
- Bleepshow #481 = H = Homework Russia
- Bleepshow #482 = I = Inoquo
- Bleepshow #483 = J = Jahtari
- Bleepshow #484 = K = Kahvi
- Bleepshow #485 = L = Laridae
- Bleepshow #486 = M = Monotonik
- Bleepshow #487 = N = No Response
- Bleepshow #488 = O = Observatory
- Bleepshow #489 = P = Pentagonik
- Bleepshow #490 = Q = Qunabu
- Bleepshow #491 = R = Rack and Ruin
- Bleepshow #492 = S = Softphase
- Bleepshow #493 = T = Tropic
- Bleepshow #494 = U = Unfound Sound
- Bleepshow #495 = V = Vate
- Bleepshow #496 = W = WM Recordings
- Bleepshow #497 = X = XS
- Bleepshow #498 = Y = ?
- Bleepshow #499 = Z = Zimmer
Ordinarily in this situation, suggestions that didn’t make it into the final list for the 2009 series would have first dibs for the 2010 series. Last time there were a number of excellent suggestions that were just pipped to the post by even more excellent suggestions. Unfortunately, when I moved the site to the new host, I lost a load of comments, so I only have a vague recollection of what was suggested (but not included) for the last run – so, it’s fair game for anything that wasn’t covered last time.
Leave me (and everyone else) a comment with your comments, netlabel suggestions and ideas. They are – as ever – welcomed. Let’s go!

Hey Pete,
Seems like the spot for “N” is still open.
I would like to suggest No-Response for that. The label seems to be on hiatus, but the site is still up and so are its releases.

Best,
Oliver
P.S. I’m happy to help with the selection.
